What’s new

What changed in each version of programavimas.xyz.

October 2026

The first version of the new programavimas.xyz. The app was rebuilt from scratch; the old system’s users, courses, problems and submissions were carried over.

  • A new interface: tabs with their own history, a sidebar with your courses, search (Ctrl K) and keyboard shortcuts.
  • Lithuanian and English, and a dark, light or system theme.
  • Sign in with the same username and password as before. Link a Google or GitHub account to sign in with it too.
  • Live updates: results, the inbox and course pages change by themselves; there is no need to reload.
  • The Wiki – explanation pages that problems link to.
  • My work: tests in progress, problems to continue, upcoming deadlines, recent results and a submission calendar.
  • A code editor for C++ and Python, with runs on the samples or your own input and drafts kept in the browser. Code analysis (completions, errors as you type) can be turned on per device.
  • The VS Code extension, in preview: your courses, statements, runs, submissions and every test’s result in Visual Studio Code. Install it from the VS Code Marketplace, or from the Solve in VS Code card in the sidebar.
  • Quizzes with a server-side timer and answers saved automatically.
  • Excel tasks: upload a workbook and see how each rule was met.
  • The Progress sheet of your group: which common problems each classmate has solved, attempted or not started, nothing more. Teachers can turn it off.
  • A home page with a calendar of student activity, course overviews and Needs attention.
  • The progress sheet, submission review and similarity checks.
  • A shared problem archive with collections, problem sets, ZIP test uploads and a statement editor with formulas.
  • Question banks and quizzes with randomly drawn questions, schedules by group and leaving-window tracking.
  • Excel tasks with 22 kinds of grading rule.
  • Administration: users, groups, courses, organisations and system roles; creating accounts in bulk with one-time passwords; an audit trail.
