Administration overview
Who opens Administration, what an organisation admin manages there, and what needs a system administrator.
Organisation admins manage their organisation’s users, groups and courses under Administration.
Who opens Administration
Section titled “Who opens Administration”Only admins of an active organisation and system administrators open Administration. Everyone else (teachers, group teachers, students) doesn’t see it, and opening its address tells them the page was not found.
Where to find it:
- in the sidebar: Administration;
- in the account menu (your name at the bottom left): Administration;
- at
/admin(it opens Users).
Sections
Section titled “Sections”| Section | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Users | Accounts with search and filters, CSV export, and a user panel with actions. Create users starts here too. |
| Groups | The organisation’s groups table, new groups and actions on several groups. Each group has its own page. |
| Courses | Every course of the organisation by school year, with archiving and restoring. |
| Organisations | Your organisations and their admins. |
System administrators also see a fifth section, System roles.
Each organisation’s numbers, activity calendar and course cards are on Home, where you land after signing in if you don’t teach or study yourself: see Your organisations on Home.
You see only your organisations’ data: users who belong to your organisation, its groups and its courses. If you administer several organisations, the lists let you choose one. The roles and what they allow are described in Roles and permissions.
