Getting around

The sidebar, your course pages, the account menu and the app on a phone.

The app’s window has the tab bar at the top (Tabs), the sidebar on the left and the open page.

From top to bottom:

Item What it is
Programavimas Returns to your start page, My work. Next to it is the search button (Search and help).
My work Your start page: assessments open now, problems you worked on recently, upcoming deadlines and your latest submissions from every course.
Inbox Notifications from all your courses; the number shows how many are unread (Inbox).
Favorites Problems you starred (Favorites).
Your courses Courses you are a student in. Past six, the others are behind the ⋯ More row, which opens a menu of them grouped by school year.
Wiki Explanations and reference pages written by teachers (Wiki).
Your name The account menu. Next to it is the help button ?.

Each course in Your courses expands into its pages:

Page What it has
Overview The course’s topics with your progress, your latest submissions, the course’s teachers and deadlines.
Problems Topics and their problems.
Quizzes The course’s quizzes and assessments.
Submissions Every solution you submitted.
Grades Your points and how your grade is worked out.
Progress sheet Which common problems the students of your group have solved. Only when the course shows it (Progress sheet).
Messages Your conversations with the course’s teachers, and course announcements. A dot next to Messages means something is unread.

Select a course’s name to expand or collapse its pages. The course whose page you are on expands by itself; elsewhere the first course starts expanded. Collapse Favorites and Your courses by selecting their headings. This browser remembers what you expanded or collapsed.

Your teacher adds you to courses, through your group or individually. Until you are in a course, the sidebar says “You are not in any course yet.” When a course is archived or you are removed from it, it disappears from the list.

The course list and the unread counts update by themselves; there is no need to reload the page.

  • [ or the button at the left of the tab bar (Hide sidebar / Show sidebar) hides or shows the sidebar. While it is hidden, your avatar and the help button move to the tab bar.
  • Drag the sidebar’s edge to change its width, from 200 to 380 px. Dragging it narrower than 150 px hides the sidebar. Double-click the edge to restore the usual width.
  • With the keyboard: focus the edge with Tab and press ← / → (bigger steps with Shift), Home for the narrowest and End for the widest.
  • Whether the sidebar is shown, and its width, are remembered.

In the code editor the sidebar starts hidden, to leave more room for code. In Settings it shows the settings sections.

At the bottom of the sidebar you see your name, your role and your organisation. Select it to open the account menu:

Item What it does
Name and username Shows who you are signed in as.
Settings Opens Settings.
Language Switches between Lietuvių and English.
Theme Dark, Light or System.
Keyboard shortcuts Opens the list of keyboard shortcuts (?).
Sign out Ends your session on this device.

The language and the theme are saved here just as in Settings.

When the screen is narrower than 768 px:

  • A bar at the top has the menu button (Open navigation), the title of the open page and the search button.
  • The menu button opens the same sidebar from the left, with the account menu and the help button at the bottom. It closes when you pick a page, or with the × button (Close navigation).
  • There is no tab bar: you see the open page only.
  • Buttons and rows are larger, so they are easy to tap.

Many pages (the inbox, submission results, the sidebar’s counts) update by themselves. If the connection to the server drops, a note appears at the bottom of the screen after a few seconds: “Live updates paused · reconnecting”. Pages keep showing what they loaded, and the connection comes back by itself.

  • Pressing Tab at the start of a page shows Skip to content, which jumps past the navigation.
  • Every shortcut: Keyboard shortcuts.
