Course overview

A course's topics with your progress, your progress chart, the course's properties and upcoming deadlines on one page.

The course overview shows how you are doing in one course and what comes next. Open it in the sidebar under Your courses: expand the course and choose Overview (address /courses/<course>).

When you expand a course in the sidebar, you see its sections:

Section What it holds
Overview This page
Problems Topics and their problems, see Problem list
Quizzes The course’s quizzes and tests, see Quizzes
Submissions Everything you submitted, see Submissions history
Grades Points and marks, see Grades
Messages Conversations with your teachers and announcements, see Messages to teachers. A dot next to the name means unread messages

Under the course title are your groups, and below them the course’s topics. The section heading says how many problems you have solved out of all, e.g. “5 of 12 solved”.

Each topic row shows:

  • a ring that fills as you solve the topic’s problems;
  • the topic’s title and how many problems are solved, e.g. “3/8”;
  • a date: the topic’s deadline or, if the topic hasn’t started, “Opens …”. Test dates carry the assessment icon.

Only topics with problems for you are listed. Select a topic to open the course’s problem list.

Recent results lists your last five submissions in this course. Select a row to open its result under Submissions.

In a wide window this card is on the right; in a narrower one it is below the topics.

  • Scope – how many problems the course gives you.
  • In progress – how many you have started but not solved yet.
  • Completed – how many you have solved, and what share that is.

The chart shows how these numbers changed over time. It runs to the next deadline (below the chart: “Next deadline: …”), and the “Projected” line shows where you will be by then at your current pace. Until there is enough data, you see “Not enough activity for a chart yet.”

Breakdown shows the same progress by topic.

Property What it means
Teachers The course’s teachers
Languages Languages allowed in this course (a problem may allow fewer)
Attempts per day How many times a day you may submit for each problem, e.g. “5 per problem”, or “Unlimited”

Up to six upcoming topic deadlines, soonest first. A date turns orange when time is short. Select a row to open the course’s problem list.

When nothing is coming up, you see “No upcoming deadlines.”

The overview shows only your own progress. It never shows other students’ results or sends them to your browser. Your group’s progress sheet, when the course shows it, is a separate page.

When a course is archived, students no longer see it: it disappears from the sidebar and its pages no longer open.
