New problem
How to create a programming problem or an Excel task, and what each field of the new problem dialog means.
Every archive user can create problems. A new problem is unpublished: students don’t see it until you publish it.
Creating a problem
Section titled “Creating a problem”- Open Problem archive → Problems and click New problem.
- Enter a Name (up to 200 characters), for example “Sum of two numbers”.
- Optionally pick a Collection: Choose… opens the collection tree, New collection… creates one. When you are browsing a collection you can edit, it is already selected. Don’t file in a collection (×) clears the choice.
- Choose the Type:
- Programming problem – students write code; tests judge it;
- Excel task – students upload an
.xlsxworkbook; rules grade it automatically.
- For a programming problem, choose Input/output:
- Standard input and output;
- Input and output files – give the Input file and Output file (
duom.txtandrez.txtby default).
- Choose Who can find it: Private (the default) or Organisation. If you work in several organisations, pick the Organisation.
- Click Create and edit. The problem editor opens.
