Settings
Your profile, language, theme, text size, motion, the code editor and notifications.
Open Settings from the account menu (your name at the bottom of the sidebar): choose Settings. The address /settings opens the Preferences section.
In Settings, the sidebar lists its sections: Profile, Preferences, Editor, Notifications and Security. Back to app at the top (or Esc) takes you back to the page you were on. The app’s version is at the bottom (Search and help).
students/basics/settings-preferencesHow changes are saved
Section titled “How changes are saved”There is no Save button: a change applies and is saved at once. At the top right, “Saving…” shows briefly, then “Saved”. If saving fails, the change is undone and “Couldn’t save, so the change was undone. Try again.” appears.
Settings are stored with your account: when you sign in on a new device, they apply there too.
Profile
Section titled “Profile”This shows how you are registered in the app. You cannot change these details yourself.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Name | Your organisation’s administrators manage your name. If it is wrong, ask your teacher or an administrator. |
| Username | You sign in with it. It can’t be changed. |
| Role | For example Student. |
| Organisation | The organisation you belong to. |
| Groups | The groups you are in. Through a group you get the courses meant for it. |
Preferences
Section titled “Preferences”Interface
Section titled “Interface”- Language – Lietuvių or English: the language of menus, buttons and messages. The app switches to it once the change is saved. Until you choose, your browser’s language is used.
- Theme – Dark (the default), Light or System. System follows your device’s light or dark setting. The cards show how the app will look.
- Text size – Small, Default or Large. It changes interface and reading text; titles keep their size. The code editor’s font size is set separately.
Accessibility
Section titled “Accessibility”- Reduce motion – turns off animations and transitions, even if your device allows them. While the switch is off, the app follows your device’s setting.
The account menu also switches the language and the theme quickly.
Editor
Section titled “Editor”These settings apply to the code editor you solve problems in. The editor’s own menu changes the same settings, so a change shows in both places.
| Setting | What it changes | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Font size | Text size in the editor, from 11 to 24 px (Smaller and Larger buttons). | 13 px |
| Minimap | Shows an overview of the file beside the code. | Off |
| Tab size | Spaces inserted for one level of indentation: 2 or 4. | 4 spaces |
| Word wrap | Wraps long lines instead of scrolling sideways. | Off |
Preview shows a code sample with the chosen font size, indentation and wrapping.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Choose which kinds of notifications arrive in your inbox. All of them start switched on.
| Switch | Which notifications |
|---|---|
| Submission results | Result and Excel result – when your solution has been checked. |
| Questions and replies | Reply and New conversation – replies in your conversations and conversations your teachers start. |
| Announcements | Announcement – news from your teachers. |
| Upcoming deadlines | Deadline – topics due within the next two days. |
| Tests opening | Assessment – when an assessment opens for you. |
- A kind you turn off stops arriving; notifications you already have stay.
- Deadline and Assessment are worked out each time you open the inbox, so turning them off removes them at once.
- Course pages (Problems, Submissions, Messages) still show everything.
Security
Section titled “Security”Your password, signed-in devices, linked Google or GitHub accounts and signing out are covered in Account security.
