Courses
Every course of your organisation in Administration, finding them by school year, and archiving or restoring several at once.
Administration → Courses (/admin/courses) shows every course of your organisations, grouped by school year (newest first). The sidebar’s Courses list holds the same courses, except archived ones you don’t work in: yours first and, past the first six, the rest behind the More row (see Courses in the sidebar).
The list
Section titled “The list”| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Course | The course title. Select it to open the course. |
| Teachers | The course’s owners and teachers. |
| Groups | Groups attached to the course (same-named ones with their teacher). |
| Students | How many students are enrolled. |
| Last activity | When the latest submission came in. |
If you administer several organisations and haven’t chosen one, an Organisation column is shown too.
Filters stay in the address:
- search: Search courses, teachers, groups;
- Organisation (if you administer several);
- Academic year: All years, one year, or Year not set;
- Show: Active or Archived.
If you can create courses, a New course button is at the top. How to create a course is on the staff getting started page.
Archiving courses
Section titled “Archiving courses”Archive last year’s courses several at a time:
- Select the courses. A year’s heading checkbox selects every course of that year.
- Select Archive….
- The dialog shows how many students lose access. Confirm.
- Students no longer see an archived course.
- Course staff and organisation admins can still open it but can’t change it. Course owners and organisation admins can restore it.
- Nothing is deleted: submissions, results and messages stay.
Restoring
Section titled “Restoring”- Choose Show: Archived.
- Select the courses and choose Restore….
- Confirm. Enrolled students see the course again, and topics, dates and enrolments are as they were when it was archived.
You can archive and restore every course of your organisations. A course owner can do the same in the course’s settings.
